Changing Jobs

Changing Jobs

Does anyone know what impact changing jobs will have on refinancing a home and/or financing new investment properties?

How long would it take to recover from any negative effects as a result of changing jobs?

Banks usually like seeing you employed at least 2 years at the same job. This probably will not effect you if you have a good stable work history prior to changing jobs or you have been in the same field of work or industry for several years. Thus, if you change joba and make more money at the new job, that could be a positive. Good luck with REI. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe

Changing jobs

Some times if you stay in the same career choice. It's not that much of a difference. Say if you worked as a mechanic for 10 years at one company and then you decided to change as a mechanic with an increase in salary at a new company with better benefits. Then you could give a letter of explaination as to why you left if needed. A higher salary and better benefits! So this wouldn't have a negative reflection as if you took a decrease with less hours in a totally different career choice. Then you may appear as a risk factor. Continued success.....LUBERTHA
